DONE!
With my portfolio anyway. I turned it in today so I pretty much have nothing to do for the rest of the semester. It must suck for those of you who have those pesky things called projects and finals. Oh, and CLASSES. I am not actually done at Belmont until next Thursday, but the rest of my time there will pretty much be spent making copies of lessons and ideas Mrs. Rangel has for me in her files. It was pretty amusing at work when I had to ask Amy when Dead Week was because I had no idea it was this week already.
I found this snazzy little alphabet chart in my friend's blog, so I thought I'd start wasting time right away at work tonight and put it in mine. Then I MUST get started on Brittany's Christmas story.

I am chillin in Cather with Drake, he is on duty from yesterday at 10 am until 11 am tomorrow, so it's kind of a bummer neither of us got to go home. I have to work tomorrow, thus why I didn't go, and LPS was still in session yesterday.

Playing Instead of Working
But that's to be expected. I haven't had a single thing to do all semester, so it is hard for me to get in a mode to write a resume or philosophy of teaching or whatever. So I did the next logical thing: took random quizzes on-line. I took this personality disorder one at quizfarm.com and apparently I qualify as having a paranoid personality disorder.

The questions that I probably scored high on were the ones about not trusting people and not having a lot of close relationships because that part is true. I have a ton of acquaintances and a lot of friends, but not a whole lot of close friends and it really does take a lot for me to trust people - thanks Adam. But cheap shots aside, he really did do a number on my trust ability, and I think with the way the questions were presented, that probably is why I scored so high in that category. Speaking of Adam, can you believe it has only been two years since I have known him now? With all that shit that went down, and that ridiculous roller coaster ride, it feels like a lifetime, and I think as a result of it I feel old, like too much happened in a short period of time. Ugh.
On a much happier note, in a previous post I talked about how I felt certain friends and I were growing apart and I was upset to see this happen because of the close friends I do have, I do not want to lose them ever. Lucky for me, we have recently been able to spend more time together again and I am glad for that.
I love Target. I also love Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioner. Last night at Target Teetz and I stood in the shampoo aisle for ages and just took in the beautiful aroma that is Fructis. It was glorious. We haven't done that for a while - in fact the last time we did was the first time I started using Fructis. We each bought some and then hurried back to Pound because we decided we had to try it right away. Then we watched SVU and it was also glorious.
And speaking of SVU, I love the show but I fear every episode is the one that Elliot will get kicked off/killed off and I am dreading that day. I am glad last night's episode was focused on him, though I saw him cry which was new for me. *Sigh* I love Tuesday nights.
I wish people would do what they say they're going to do, when they say they're going to do it. If you don't plan on following through with whatever you say, why waste your breath saying you'll do it in the first place?

Klepto
I stole this from Amanda, who stole this from Ben. Amanda concluded that Ben did not mind her stealing it from him, so I am drawing the same conclusion that she won't mind that I stole it from her.
10 Years ago: I was 12 years old and in 7th grade. All the 7th grade classrooms were located in the "Old Building" which was originally built in the early 1900s and at one time housed grades K-12. Being a history nerd even then, I thought it was pretty neat and wanted desperately for the building to be haunted. I don't think it was.
5 Years ago: I was a senior in high school. I pretty much did nothing in class because I had exhausted all the honors classes in English and history and was forced to *eeek* take "regular-kid classes" because we were not allowed to have more than three Study Halls a day. While this was one of the best times in my life, it was also one of the worst. Three students from my school died in this year, including one of my closest friends, two and a half months before graduation.
1 Year ago: Almost exactly a year ago to this day, Adam and I were on the verge of our third and final break-up. At the time I was convinced I was going to be single forever and swore off all men as complete and total lying cheating bastards. I think we can all agree that my opinion has changed; I am extremely happy with Drake, and at peace both with Adam and that time period in my life.
Yesterday: I worked at Office Depot from 10-6. Time went by really fast because we were really busy. I had an hour and a half chunk of time where I constantly had customers which I love because the time goes by so quickly. Afterwards I ran home and showered and did some stuff around the apartment, then hung out at Cather with Drake and we watched "Dawn of the Dead" and "Saved".
(On a sidenote for those of you who have seen Saved: I was watching it with my roommate Brett one time and I made some comment about how one of the characters, Patrick, is really cute. He looked at me and was like, "Wow, you do realize he's Drake, only famous, right?" Upon further inspection we realized Brett was right, as the character of Patrick possesses many qualities that my boyfriend does as well: He has the shaggy hair, the skateboard, and they even kind of look alike in the jaw area especially).

I don't really enjoy food, and I don't really eat. Noodles and butter is okay, and I guess green beans are a snack.

(On a sidenote for those of you who have seen Saved: I was watching it with my roommate Brett one time and I made some comment about how one of the characters, Patrick, is really cute. He looked at me and was like, "Wow, you do realize he's Drake, only famous, right?" Upon further inspection we realized Brett was right, as the character of Patrick possesses many qualities that my boyfriend does as well: He has the shaggy hair, the skateboard, and they even kind of look alike in the jaw area especially).

I Steal Stuff...Again
So first I stole a list from Brett's blog, then I stole this new one from JohnRoss. I like to steal stuff I guess.

2. What color is your underwear?
Purple
3. What are you listening to right now?
Computer keys clacking - I'm in Burnett right now

Violet or lavender or some amazing shade of purple

Sunny and about 80. I love it.

A pup named Teddy B. who I have had for almost fourteen years now, so I guess he's not a pup anymore. I also have a red-eared slider turtle named Wendall Merle. Shona named him Wendall and I added the Merle after Teetz's dad.

any month that it is 75 and sunny, because that is perfect weather

I have many I love to listen to but as an all-time favorite I would have to say Garth Brooks or Kenny Chesney. However, Gavin DeGraw will never be far behind.

My birthday. Duh.

I yell at whoever I am angry with. Unfortunately sometimes it gets taken out on whoever is nearby at the time and not who actually deserves it.

Probably my Brett Bear. My grandma used to work at a department store called Brett's and for Christmas they put out Brett Bears. I have always loved teddy bears and this one is by far my favorite.

My pup is a peek-i-poo which means he is part Pekinese, part Poodle. I am also fond of labs.

Five. I only know what four of them are for though.

Four: Brookings, South Dakota; Apple Valley, Minnesota/Rosemount Minnesota (I lived right on the border of these two for a while on the Apple Valley side, then after Kindergarten we moved about four blocks in from the border where I lived until college) Lincoln, Nebraska. There are some other towns I think, from when I was really little that I would have no recollection of. I don't count them because I was not there long enough for it to matter. I am also not sure if I should count Waseca, Minnesota, where my mother moved to about a year ago, because I have never lived there except when I am home on school breaks.

I Steal Stuff
Okay, not really. But this semester I did steal a bowl of vanilla ice cream with M&M topping from Selleck. I was protesting the fact that they RAN OUT OF CONES. How do you run out of ice cream cones? Ah well, they lost a blue bowl and a spoon because of it.
I also steal stuff from other peoples blogs. This is actually the first time, but I was reading Brett's blog and found this and thought it was kind fun so I took it and I ain't giving it back. Mostly because our answers will be different. If something is bolded it means I HAVE done it.
